A Simple Step-by-Step Guide
Secure Print allows you to send a print job to the copier and hold it there securely until you walk up and release it with a Document ID and PIN. This prevents sensitive documents from sitting unattended in the output tray.
Below are quick and simple step-by-step instructions.
Part 1: How to Send a Secure Print from Your Computer
Step 1 – Open the Print Window
Open the document you want to print.
Click File → Print.
Select your Konica Minolta printer.
Click Printer Properties or Preferences.
Step 2 – Select Secure Print
In the printer driver window, locate the Output Method setting.
Change the setting to Secure Print.
Step 3 – Enter Document ID and PIN
You will now be prompted to enter:
Document ID
Password (PIN)
For simplicity and speed:
Use “1” as the Document ID
Use a simple 4-digit PIN (example: 1234)
Using “1” for the Document ID keeps things easy and consistent. A 4-digit PIN is quick to enter at the copier.
Click OK, then click Print.
Your document is now securely stored at the copier and will NOT print until released.
Part 2: How to Retrieve Your Secure Print at the Copier
Step 1 – Go to the Copier
At the Konica Minolta screen:
Select the Secure Print area.
Step 2 – Enter Your Credentials
Enter your Document ID (example: 1)
Enter your 4-digit PIN
Select your job.
Press Print
Your document will now print.
That’s It
Secure Print takes only a few extra seconds to set up and ensures confidential documents never sit unattended.
