Setting up Scan-to-Folder on your Konica Minolta machine allows you to send scanned documents directly to a shared folder on your computer. This makes it easy to access, store, and organize files without the extra steps of emailing or using USB drives.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process in two parts:
Creating and sharing a folder on your Windows computer
Registering that folder on your Konica Minolta device
Step 1: Create and Share the Folder
Open your C: Drive.
Right-click and choose New → Folder.
Name the folder Scans. (Optional: create a shortcut on your desktop for easy access.)
Right-click the folder, select Properties, and open the Sharing tab.
Click Share…, type Everyone, and click Add.
Change the Permission Level from Read to Read/Write.
Click Share, then Done.
Back in Properties, go to the Security tab.
Highlight Everyone, then click Edit….
Check all the boxes under the Allow column and click OK.
Click Close to finish.
✅ Your Windows folder is now ready to receive scanned files.
Step 2: Register the Folder on the Konica Minolta
Open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Firefox) and enter the IP address of your Konica Minolta device.
Select the Store Address tab.
Click New Registration.
Choose SMB, then click OK.
In the Name field, enter the label you want to appear on the machine’s touchscreen.
Optional: Check “Main” if you want the shortcut to show up under Favorites.
In Host Address, enter your computer’s IP address.
Under File Path, type Scans (this must match the folder name created earlier).
In User ID, enter your Windows login name exactly as it appears.
Enter your Windows password in the Password field.
Click OK to save.
✅ Your folder is now registered as a scan destination on your Konica Minolta.
